A New Zealand McDonalds is live streaming CCTV footage into the local police station 24 hours a day. Radio New Zealand report that the purpose is to ensure the public are safe and so that people can feel safe when out in public.
While some members of the public see this as a step too far that compromises privacy others said they were comfortable with being filmed if it improved safety for workers and in the local area.
