Now that the school term is in full swing, some VXers have reported that they can't use the VX as much as they would like, because they have too much homework to do!
In fact this does not seem to have slowed up the usage, but prompts the question: could schools set the VX for actual homework?
The pros include: it is fun (and learning should be fun); you have to think hard sometimes; you learn to justify your views; you learn to set up good cases and surveys; you can write stories; the reports use maths skills; and many social issues are raised.
The cons include: it might be hard to mark; the VX is not part of the curriculum; some teachers don't understand how creative the VX is and may not appreciate the work that students put in.
So, what do you think???
If we can get as many responses as possible to this case we may be able to offer them as evidence to schools.
It is proposed that the Values Exchange should be set as homework sometimes
