To tell or not to tell?

Ben is the eighteen Year old son of Mr. G. His recent bouts of night sweats, lethargy and periodic nausea made him seek consultation in a private medical laboratory owned by a family friend. In the course of a free and fairly thorough laboratory evaluation, he was found to be seropositive to HIV. ending the outcome of a confirmatory test, the laboratory scientist found himself in a dilemma as regards to:

 whether to share his findings with his friend, Ben’s father;

 or to  keep it confidential as requested by Ben.
