Say Goodbye to Tasmania?

Is Tasmania holding Australia back? Could we be in a much better economical position if Tasmania was to leave Australia? This would be important in the future where things could be taking a turn. Even if we do say goodbye to Tasmania, we could still support them as a new country, just not as much. They will also not affect out economical status. Tasmania however, has always been a part of Australia and its history, and therefore it would be quite the wrong attitude to leave Tasmania behind. If we want to have a better economical value as well as a better look, in the way that other countries see us, it would be the correct thing if we supported Tasmania, didn't discriminate against them and keep them as a valuable part of Australia. Maybe we should let them have more of a say?
