If we turn classrooms on their head, so that content is delivered outside the classroom, and classroom time is spent undertaking activities that promote deeper learning and critical engagement, we would be better preparing our graduates for the world outside of learning.
Students, however, still seem to prefer passive modes of education, where they merely turn up, receive content, and at some future time repeat or apply it in an exam. However, if they engaged with the material in a different way, they would be much readier to solve problems and apply theories.
