HANDWRITING: A LOST ART OR HISTORY?
The way we present the written word is changing.
Many workplaces are working toward being 'paperless'. Most school assignments involve digital formats rather than being only handwritten pieces of work.
However most national exams are still sat using pen and paper. Not only does this create environmental issues in terms of the impact of paper production on natural resources, but many students use a keyboard for most written work, so handwriting standards may mean that work is less legible if produced with pen and paper.

If the future world of employment will more than likely be paperless and variation in handwriting standards may impact on the ability and speed of examiners to assess students' work, is there an argument for all external exams to have the option of being completed using computers?
It is proposed that it should be acceptable for external school exams to be submitted using computers
