Tony Abbott has announced his Cabinet and from the 19 members only one is female.
This ratio is lower than in Afghanistan; a country well known for its gender inequalities.
Should the Cabinet have been more equally comprised of men and women, given that their role is to represent the Australian people or should positions of leadership be given to those most aptly skilled for the role, irrespective of gender?
